Multicultural Stu Engagement Description In support of the University Mission of “transforming hearts and minds to serve the world” and “respect for all people” work within the Division of Student Experience to develop and facilitate co-curricular programs and services that link the values of diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and social justice to holistic student development. The successful candidate will exercise leadership in directing high-quality programing, education, support, and advocacy for students across various identities. Duties and Responsibilities
Lead efforts to create a campus environment that values critical dialogue and inclusive community-building.
Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the Rivier Student Multicultural Student Organization (MSO).
Plan, implement, and assess annual cultural and educational programs, including monthly themed celebrations.
Collaborate with internal and external partners to deliver high-impact learning experiences around diversity, equity, and belonging.
Serve as a liaison to the Student Experience Division, identifying and addressing climate issues affecting student life.
Support Orientation, Welcome Week and campus wide programs that enhance underrepresented student engagement.
Contribute to the University’s DEI strategic initiatives and actively participate in the Diversity Council.
Develop and implement assessment tools to measure the impact of diversity and inclusion initiatives, student engagement, and learning outcomes.
Hire, train, and supervise staff, managing the department’s operating budget.
Represent the department on institutional committees and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required plus three (3) to five (5) years of higher education relevant experience, master’s degree preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to advocate for and support the academic, personal and professional goals of underrepresented populations.
Possess a working knowledge of key issues and best practices related to diversity, equity, inclusion, multiculturalism, and social justice.

Strong organizational and administrative skills.
Experience with program development, implementation, and assessment.
Ability to work effectively with all University constituents and represent the University to external organizations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
