Job Description

Human Resources Manager Confidential Posting Nutley, NJ 07110 Are you a hands-on HR leader passionate about building strong teams and making a meaningful impact in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment? We’re seeking a Human Resources Manager to oversee and elevate the HR function for a private healthcare organization. As a key member of our leadership team, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the 100+ employees who serve our communities every day.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the full scope of HR operations, ensuring compliance and alignment with industry requirements. Drive recruitment and onboarding efforts. Manage time-sensitive employee certifications and credentials to ensure operational readiness. Administer payroll and handle direct deposits, garnishments, and related deductions. Oversee employee benefits, including open enrollment and ongoing plan communications. Maintain organized, HIPAA-compliant, and confidential personnel files. Resolve employee relations matters, support performance management, and conduct investigations as needed. Guide supervisors and managers on HR policies, best practices, and compliance standards. Manage FMLA, disability, and unemployment processes in collaboration with third-party providers. Ensure EEO compliance, including preparation of required reports (e.g., EEO-1). Conduct exit interviews and analyze workforce trends to support retention. Continuously assess and improve HR systems and processes for optimal efficiency. Represent the organization during audits, hearings, and regulatory reviews. Manage workers’ compensation claims.

Required Qualifications:

Proven experience as an HR Manager or senior HR professional in a fast-paced environment. Professional HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or

SHRM-SCP

). In-depth knowledge of labor laws (FMLA, ADA, EEO, OSHA, wage/hour regulations). Experience with in-house payroll and benefits administration. Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Exceptional organizational abilities with high attention to confidentiality and accuracy. Proficiency in HRIS/payroll platforms (ADP, etc.).
