The Equity Asset Manager will work as member of broader Pelium CRE Credit Asset Management team with a focus on managing REO (Real Estate Owned) properties. This role involves taking control of assets returned through foreclosure or deed-in-lieu processes, taking a “hands on” creative approach to formulate new business plans, assembling a team of third-party operators/advisors/consultants to execute and engaging with external stakeholders to drive asset performance, maximize asset value and ultimate loan recovery. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in distressed equity investing, business plan formulation and execution, asset management and capital markets. Candidates possessing a history of successful distressed investing or a leasing and/or operational background is preferred. Key Responsibilities Maximize returns on REO assets through entire lifecycle (e.g. onboarding, value-creation, stabilization and disposition) Work with third-party operators, agents, and advisors to develop and execute tailored business plans for each asset focused on short and medium-term value maximization Drive analytics and track/forecast asset performance including creating and updating investment models, valuation models, hold/sell analyses, etc. Liaise with internal stakeholders (e.g. Originators, Finance, Client & Product Solutions, etc.) to ensure transparency on assets including regular reporting (e.g. QARs) and ad-hoc presentations Conduct regular property visits and support key relationships with relevant external stakeholders (e.g. brokers, appraisers, owners, local government officials, etc.) Prepare and implement follow-on investment and/or disposition strategies with brokerage and capital markets professionals Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from a top undergraduate institution 5-10+ years of experience in CRE distressed equity investing, CRE development/asset management, Proven leadership skills working across cross-functional teams and managing internal and external constituencies Demonstrates strong real estate judgment and problem-solving mindset Strong modeling, analytical, valuation, and problem-solving skills Entrepreneurial, self-guided work ethic with results-driven orientation Excellent presentation, communication, and management skills Strong attention to detail Excels in a fast-paced, rigorous work environment; effectively prioritizes and meets deadlines

The annual full time base salary range for this role is $200,000.00 – $225,000.00 Specific compensation is determined through interviews and a review of relevant education, experience, training, skills, geographic location and alignment with market data. Additionally, certain positions may be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus as determined by bonus program guidelines, position eligibility and SitusAMC Senior Management approval.
