We are seeking a highly qualified, strategic, and collaborative professional to serve as our next Director of Human Resources. This leadership role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the district’s workforce and overall organizational success.

This leadership position is responsible for the strategic planning, supervision, and coordination of all HR functions to ensure a highly efficient and effective department that aligns with and supports the district’s goals and objectives. The Director of Human Resources plays a pivotal role in strategically planning, supervising, and coordinating the HR department to ensure efficient and effective support for the district’s goals and objectives. The Director is expected to be innovative, solutions-oriented, and knowledgeable of current and emerging trends in education and HR. This position is also responsible for cultivating and maintaining positive labor relations across all employee groups. What Will Your Responsibilities Entail?: Assure compliance with PDE certification issues: Emergency Permits, Levels I & II, Act 48, etc. Responsible for calculation of annual salary increases for each employee group including step movement, and the creation and distribution of salary letters/compensation statements. Manage employee and labor relations for all professional, project, support and administrative employees. Counsel supervisors with regard to performance management including developing performance improvement plans, written reprimands, suspensions and terminations. Oversee all offers of employment across employee groups including determining salary and summarizing fringe benefit programs ensuring consistency and appropriateness across the organization. Responsible for all severance payments (pre-retirement and retirement) including eligibility, calculation and distribution of monies. Assist chief negotiator with negotiations of all collective bargaining agreements and handbooks. Facilitate employee performance meeting; advising supervisors on the progressive disciplinary process. Coordinate the grievance process including compiling documentation, review of timelines and process and advise supervisors, administrators and Superintendent. Administration of the fringe benefit program in conjunction with negotiated contracts and employee/board agreements. Responsible for FMLA, unpaid leaves of absence, worker’s compensation and Cobra Administration. Process and investigates employee complaints pertaining to Title IX and other federal and state employment laws Oversee staff performance assessment and evaluation practices and procedures. Oversee course tuition reimbursement plans defined by employee contracts and agreements. Recruit, hire, supervise and evaluate professional and non-professional employees within the assigned programs and services.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Management, or related field (Master’s, J.D., or SHRM certification preferred) Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a public school or educational setting Demonstrated expertise in labor relations, including collective bargaining and grievance resolution Demonstrated expertise in benefits management Demonstrated expertise in PA Department of Education guidelines specifically surrounding certification Deep understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills Strong project management skills with attention to detail Technological proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite Strategic thinker and proactive leader with demonstrated initiative Apply Now and Join Our Mission to Inspire, Empower, and Elevate Every Student!

Salary:
