The DON will be instrumental in developing policies, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and Medicare standards. Duties Lead and manage the nursing department, ensuring effective staffing and supervision of nursing personnel. Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures that align with best practices in home health, assisted living, and acute care. Monitor patient care activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care plans. Conduct regular assessments of nursing staff performance and provide ongoing training and development opportunities. Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and privacy. Oversee budget management for the nursing department while optimizing resource allocation. Address patient concerns and complaints promptly to maintain high levels of satisfaction.
