Job Description
Summary:
Under the supervision of the Director of Talent Acquisition will manage and have direct oversight of all workforce development programs and department staff. Maintains various record keeping systems to produce operating and narrative reports ensuring documentation and record keeping that meets or exceeds standards of internal and external grantor and audit requirements.
Responsibilities:
In collaboration with the Director Talent Acquisition develops existing and innovative workforce development programs in alignment with organizational priorities. Lead multiple programs to create a pipeline of prepared candidates for positions at Brown University Health Motivate coach counsel and supervise staff and program participants Develop strategies for systemwide workforce development programs creating a high-performance culture with kindness at its core. Develops program policies processes and oversight framework Plan and implement workplace readiness and workforce development programs for youth and adults. Co-author and submit grant proposals to obtain grant funding in order to grow existing programs and support new programs. Oversee all workforce development funding streams including internal and external sources (public- and privately acquired grants legislatively appropriated funds philanthropy etc.). Ensures alignment to internal budget and pitched budgets for any external funding sources. Provides oversight for team success including but not limited to: Development implementation of educational curriculum for workplace readiness trainings. Oversight for external training providers including metrics for partnership successs Oversight of team performance in providing training and education for incumbent and future employees to improve effectiveness and sustainability in the workplace and employability respectively. Conduct crisis management for program participants with staff as needed Ensure processes workflows data analytics and reporting are tracked for efficiency and effectiveness. Drive a metric based performance model to ensure workforce development programs are meeting objectives Maintain collaborative relationships with internal partners as well as external community and state partners. Identify and implement workforce development programming best practices Role models Brown University Health�s Core Success Factors of instilling trust valuing differences prioritizing patient/ community and collaboration. Competent in Brown University Health�s Leadership Success Factors including ensuring accountability building effective teams driving vision and purpose and optimizing work processes.
Other information:
BASIC KNOWLEDGE
Bachelor�s degree required. Master�s degree preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office required. Excellent written and oral communication interpersonal and public speaking skills required.
EXPERIENCE
Five (5) years of comparable and/or related experience in program development education youth and workforce development required. Experience with grant writing and oversight strongly preferred.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
