Summary:
The Human Resources Business Partner is a highly motivated and trustworthy individual with exemplary people and communication skills. Demonstrated skills in the employment process, employee relations and leadership is required. The HR Business Partner must have the ability to work independently to effectively support the management of Human Resources policies, procedures, and programs. The HRBP works within the Human Resources team to support internal processes as well as assisting in external Human Resource objectives. This role serves as primary lead in onboarding, employee relations, FMLA administration, employee engagement, community outreach, HR analytics, training & development, annual compensation cycles, and succession planning. The HRBP will assist the VP, HR in the administration of the step progression process for all hourly employees. This role also serves as the primary backup in the absence of the VP, HR.. The HRBP must be a highly motivated, ambitious individual. This person should be inquisitive with an investigative mindset and possess a natural intellectual curiosity. The individual should have a demonstrated track record of success and possess a strong desire to learn and grow professionally. They must be a team-oriented leader with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Adhere to plant safety requirements and plant policies Promote a positive safety culture, leading by example Adhere to all current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) requirements Work with Human Resources Team to plan, define and prioritize work/HR initiatives Develop and lead site employee engagement committee Work closely with front line teams to develop ongoing training opportunities onsite and with local technical colleges Lead all onboarding efforts for new hires once pre-employment process has been completed with talent acquisition Using the HRIS platform (Paylocity) to streamline administrative processes within the lifecycle of an employee Responsible for E-Verify, maintaining I-9 process, new hire policy review and handbook overview Conduct quality onboarding of newly hired employees and communication to all key stakeholders Lead COBRA, Retiree Medical, FMLA, tuition reimbursement and scholarship processes Processing pension requests to include requesting actuarial calculations, distributing application packets, collecting completed documents, directing pension fund manager to disperse funds, issuing transmittal letters and updating/proper tracking of data Reviewing and posting communications on electronic Marlin Boards for Safety Team, HR Team and Safety Committee members, as well as e-mailing company-wide information and announcements. Serve as backup for the HR Specialist, processing hourly and salaried payroll when necessary Maintaining communication bulletin boards, federal & state notices, and authorized communications. Conduct regular employee check-ins to support onboarding, assess engagement, address concerns, and ensure a smooth integration into the team and company culture Responsible for processing of Halocarbon guests/visitors or callers through professional etiquette, reception, and connection to the proper host. Keeping in mind you are the face and voice of Halocarbon. Process all termination checklist items not related to payroll & benefits. e.g. exit interviews, gate card deactivation, e-mail deactivation, updating staffing tracking, company-wide separation communications etc. Responsible for organization and filing of training records in Human Resources Education and/or
Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business management, Human Resources, or related field required Master’s degree in leadership or human resources management preferred Additional consideration given to other evidence of on-going professional development Minimum 5 years of experience in a Human Resources role Manufacturing experience is preferred Experience in employment process Good computer literacy and Excel skills Experience with payroll systems and electronic timecards A track record of timely execution of duties while ensuring accuracy and consistency Analytical Ability/Problem Solving/Technical skills Quick study with superior problem-solving, critical thinking and conflict resolution skills Consistent delivery of high-quality customer service, effectively resolving challenging situations in a professional and positive manner Natural leader who is highly trustworthy, self-confident and maintains confidentiality at the highest level Ability to see the bigger picture, simplify complexity and create understanding by the audience Strong attention to detail and good organization skills Ability to manage a large workload, properly prioritizing objectives to reliably meet deadlines Knowledge of personnel administration principles and practices Exemplary written and verbal communication skills, including proper telephone etiquette Excellent computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite Ability to work without supervision, with guidance from VP of Human Resources when necessary Complex and analytical judgement to work independently toward goals and devise methods and approaches to achieve desired results Flexibility to adapt standard operating procedures to meet conditions and make decisions based on precedent, professional knowledge and company policies
Safety/ Essential Functions:
