Job Description

Description We are looking for an experienced Human Resources (HR) Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of HR operations for a growing construction company in Orangeburg, South Carolina. This role requires a dynamic individual who can effectively manage recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and benefits administration while fostering a positive workplace culture. The ideal candidate will bring strategic insight and hands-on expertise to support our growing team.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding for both field and office positions.
  • Develop and execute onboarding programs to ensure new employees integrate smoothly into the organization.
  • Foster an inclusive and safety-focused workplace culture that promotes collaboration and positivity.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws by maintaining accurate HR records and personnel documentation.
  • Oversee performance management processes, including performance reviews and training initiatives, to support employee development.
  • Administer payroll and benefits programs in partnership with external providers, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Analyze compensation structures and benefits offerings, providing recommendations to align with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with leadership to implement workforce planning strategies, including succession planning and organizational development.
  • Support career growth initiatives by identifying opportunities for employee development and advancement. Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in construction, trades, or service-based industries.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex employee relations issues.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is preferred but not required.
  • Experience managing field workforce operations is a plus.
