Under direction from the HR Director, manages the Classification and Compensation program for the Agency. Reviews all position descriptions for accuracy and coordinates the classification and compensation request. Researches and compiles internal and external data for compensation analysis. Ensures every employee has an updated position description annually. Provides technical support and documents to staff, management and employees regarding SCEIS. Keys all OM and PA actions and maintains all organizational structures. Coordinates the approval of all pay corrections with the Human Resources Director. Manages the New Employee Onboarding process. ensures all new hire paperwork, background checks and approvals are submitted timely. Coordinates New Hire Orientation monthly. Manages the temporary employment program. Verifies temporary hire packages; creates temporary position, role mapping, hiring and delimiting positions through SCEIS; monitors temporary employment status monthly. Create and maintain routine reports through BI and BEX. Ensures reports are accurate. Performs other duties in support of the agency’s mission and strategic plan and other incidental and related duties as required. Minimum and Additional Requirements A bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of direct work experience in a relevant human resources program is required, or approved equivalency. Proficient use and knowledge of SCEIS is preferred. Additional Comments This position is located in an office environment. Must be able to lift 25 lbs., bend, squat, and file documents. A valid driver’s license is required. Ability to deal effectively and efficiently with the public, agency personnel, government and business contacts; ability to communicate effectively knowledge of general human resources practices. strategy and technology. Establishes credibility in all interactions; maintains confidentiality. Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of HR. Ability to exercise sound judgement and discretion in applying and interpreting laws, policies, HR regulations and procedures pertaining to the assigned program area. Proficient use of computers; proficient knowledge of SCEIS. Demonstrates commitment to conducting business lawfully and ethically by consistently adhering to and complying with the federal, state, and the agency’s policies, procedures, and regulations.
