POSITION SUMMARY
We’re looking for an experienced, strategic, and people-focused HR leader to join our team as Director, HR Business Partner supporting our Technology organization . This is a pivotal role during a period of transformation and growth, suited for someone who thrives in a growth-oriented technology organization. The right candidate brings a deep understanding of what it takes to scale and optimize Tech teams – partnering closely with senior leaders to align people strategies with business outcomes. You will be the connective tissue between business ambition and talent execution, ensuring the right roles, skills, and leadership are in place to drive value. This role is about being a partner to the business – helping drive workforce decisions, a values ambassador, and a thought partner who moves fast, adapts to ambiguity, and consistently elevates execution through talent. The ideal candidate is energized by ambiguity, can engage deeply with engineering and product leaders, and has a track record of using talent strategy to solve real-time business challenges.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Be a Strategic Partner to
Tech Leadership:
Partner with product and engineering leaders to ensure talent architecture supports iterative development, customer outcomes, and velocity goals. Align workforce strategy to product and business goals with a focus on agility, performance, and scale. Serve as a critical sounding board to Tech leadership, influencing organization design, capability buildout, and change navigation. Drive clarity on role definitions, span of control, leadership expectations, and interaction models as the org scales.
Workforce Planning & Strategic Talent Acquisition Partner:
Design and evolve hybrid workforce models – balancing FTEs, partners, and offshore teams to meet capability and cost goals. Partner with Talent Acquisition team to prioritize key hires and participate in the interview process for management roles, and others as needed.
Drive Performance & Talent Development:
Champion a culture of high performance, continuous feedback, and development with focus on performance expectations and strong leadership accountability. Ensure the Tech organization’s talent strategy accelerates product delivery and customer impact – balancing speed with sustainability. Ensure clarity in roles, performance expectations, and smooth onboarding / offboarding for Tech team members. Guide performance reviews, talent assessments, and succession planning. Partner with leaders and L&D on career growth and leadership development programs.
Advance Organizational Effectiveness:
Lead org design discussions and support structural and cultural changes that drive effectiveness, performance, and accountability. Partner with senior leadership on change management initiatives, including communication and development plans. Align talent strategy with business evolution through thoughtful planning and execution.
Drive Change & Culture Enablement:
Navigate complex change agendas with empathy and precision-translating business transformation into people enablement. Serve as a cultural steward-ensuring Tech decisions reflect company values and long-term health. Build engagement strategies that scale with growth and remote distribution. Advise on
Total Rewards:
Partner with the Total Rewards team to ensure compensation decisions are market-aligned and equitable. Support planning for merit cycles, promotions, and incentive programs.
Track Metrics & Drive Insights:
Monitor and report on key HR and talent metrics (e.g., time to fill, turnover, time to proficiency, engagement, performance outcomes). Use data to identify trends, shape strategy, and support continuous improvement to deliver clear focused reporting to Tech and HR Leadership. Regularly assess the effectiveness of programs and initiatives through a data-driven lens. Anticipate and mitigate people risks before they impact performance.
WHAT YOU BRING
10+ years of progressive HR experience, with significant time in SaaS / tech-forward companies including at least 3 years working with technology or product teams. Proven success aligning HR strategy to business goals in high-growth, fast-paced environments. Expertise in organizational design, leadership development, change management, and workforce planning. A strategic mindset with a bias toward action and execution that is collaborative and deeply aligned to business outcomes. Strong communication and relationship-building skills across all levels of an organization. A passion for building great teams and creating positive employee experiences.
