OF HUMAN RESOURCES QUALIFICATIONS 1.

Minimum bachelor’s degree 2. Experience preferred in the following areas: a. Employment law (i.e., Fair Labor Standards Act, Workers Compensation, Affordable Care Act) b. Employee benefits (i.e., Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System) c. Employee recruitment and retention d. Teacher licensure e. Conducting personnel training f. Workplace safety programs g. Human resources software programs (i.e., Skyward, Frontline, TimeClock Plus, Google) 3. Meets health and physical requirements

JOB GOAL

To maintain personnel files and coordinate all employee-related duties with the exception of food service employees

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1.

Coordinates all insurance-related matters for employees 2. Coordinates workers compensation screenings and claims 3. Maintains and charts all employee and substitute applications 4. Coordinates applicant screenings 5. Coordinates posting, interviews, and recommendations for vacant positions 6. Coordinates the District Teacher Fair and all district recruiting efforts to include college and other recruiting fairs. 7. Establishes personnel files and processes paperwork for new employees 8. Coordinates fingerprinting and maintains fingerprint reports 9. Maintains official personnel files for current and former employees 10. Verifies employment and teaching experience 11. Coordinates resignations, retirements, and leaves of absence 12. Works closely with the Supervisor of Business around payroll and ensures the status of employees is updated and current. 13. Assists teachers and principals in maintaining current certification and licensure status 14. Files appropriate personnel reports with state department of education 15. Coordinates substitute training and prepares monthly substitute lists 16. Performs other duties as assigned

Normal working environment; may experience some physical discomfort when inspecting school lunch facilities because of noise level and temperature.
