Human Resources/Safety Manager Southern Constructors, Inc. Knoxville, TN 37920 Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources/Safety Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping our organizational culture and enhancing employee engagement and will lead our long-standing industry leading Safety Program. This position requires a strong background in human resources and Safety management by attracating and managing company personnel with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. The Human Resources/Safety Manager will oversee HR/Safety initiatives, ensuring alignment with senior leadership goals while managing systems and industry programs. Responsibilities Develop and implement HR/Safety strategies that support business objectives and enhance organizational performance. Manage the recruitment process, including talent acquisition, onboarding, and employee retention strategies. Provide guidance on best practices in human resources/safety management. Foster a positive workplace culture through effective communication and employee engagement initiatives. Collaborate with senior leadership to align HR and Safety initiatives with overall business goals. Oversee performance management processes, ensuring fair evaluations and development opportunities for employees. Address employee relations issues promptly and effectively, promoting a harmonious work environment. Stay updated on labor laws and regulations to ensure compliance across all HR/Safety practices. Requirements Proven experience in human resources and safety management with a focus on program management and talent management, as well as TOSHA regulations. Proficiency in using HR and Safety software. Strong supervisory skills with the ability to help lead a team effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the capacity to engage with senior leadership. A strategic thinker who can manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail. A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management and/or Safety, or a related field is preferred; relevant certifications are a plus.
