Job Summary
The Senior HR Manager, People & Culture, is responsible for performing advanced HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management in supporting Servpro Industries, Inc. This strategic position will not only manage the employee relations and organizational learning and development functions but will also take a leading role in various critical areas including performance management, HRIS system administration, culture and engagement, compensation, and employment law compliance.
The successful Senior HR Manager, People & Culture, acts as a cultural steward, employee advocate, and change agent while ensuring adherence to SERVPRO® policy and procedures. This role requires a forward-thinking mindset with a strong emphasis on creating a positive work environment, fostering employee engagement, and driving organizational effectiveness.
You will
Plans, develop, and implement comprehensive department goals, objectives, and systems that align with organizational strategies and enhance corporate culture.
Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to front-line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions), ensuring alignment with organizational values and business objectives.
Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations, while also providing strategic advice to mitigate future risks.
Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all organizational employees; assists in the development and implementation of policies and procedures; maintains the employee handbook and the policies and procedures manual; provides HR policy guidance and interpretation, ensuring they are updated regularly to reflect current laws and best practices.
Maintains and updates job descriptions as necessary and conducts job evaluations to ensure they reflect current roles and requirements accurately.
Collaborates on the design and delivery of employee training programs aimed at developing skills, knowledge, and competencies across the organization. Monitors training effectiveness and ensures alignment with business goals.
Lead a team of HR professionals by setting clear goals, providing regular feedback, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment, encouraging professional growth through
continuous learning opportunities, and implementing effective coaching strategies to ensure high performance and personal development.
Participate in organizational development initiatives, including workforce planning, succession planning, and change management activities, and talent reviews to drive continuous improvement and organizational growth.
Develop effective communication via intranet, all employee e-mails, use of bulletin boards, one-on-one and small group meetings, and other communication methods.
Serve as an administrator to several HR related tools and technology.
Completes special projects and other duties as assigned.
You have
A minimum of ten years of progressive professional experience in human resources, preferably within a corporate environment, including at least three years in a leadership role managing individuals.
Demonstrated experience and proficiency in employee relations and learning and development is required.
Must possess the ability to lead projects and manage multiple competing priorities effectively.
Quick learning capability and a comprehensive understanding of the Company’s organizational structure, culture, positions, policies, and procedures are imperative, alongside solid knowledge of applicable laws and best practices.
Maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive situations appropriately when performing job duties is crucial.
Experience and technical aptitude with multiple HRIS or related systems such as applicant tracking systems, learning management systems, etc.
Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly advanced Excel skills, and intermediate to advanced database reporting skills are needed.
A strong team player attitude with a proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving is essential, as are strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
Holding a Society for Human Resources (SHRM) Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential is advantageous.
The ability to effectively communicate with employees, customers, and suppliers in a clear, straightforward, and professional manner is required.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
