Job Description

HR Recruiter 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars Foley, AL 36535 HR Recruiter The HR Recruiter plays a key role in the end-to-end recruitment process, helping to attract, engage, and hire top talent. This position is responsible for managing the applicant tracking system, coordinating interviews, screening candidates, and supporting onboarding efforts. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. As a representative of Vulcan, this role also supports outreach efforts including job fairs and career events. Hours are Monday to Friday from 7am to 4:00pm. Pay for this position is $22/hour

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain the HRIS applicant tracking system with accurate and up-to-date candidate data. Coordinate the recruiting process from job posting through candidate selection. Source candidates, review applications, conduct phone screens, and evaluate qualifications. Communicate with candidates throughout the hiring process to ensure a positive experience. Schedule interviews with hiring managers and interview panels. Provide selected candidates with offer details and onboarding materials. Organize and maintain applicant records and resume files. Prepare and send notifications to candidates not selected. Oversee background checks, drug testing, and pre-employment physicals for new hires. Represent the company at job fairs, career days, and community hiring events. Partner with staffing agencies to source temporary employees and track temp labor hours. Complete interview evaluation forms and ensure required documentation is submitted. Maintain active applicant files in accordance with company standards. Travel up to 25% (local and out-of-state) for recruiting events and partner visits. Social Media posts to highlight current openings. Support other HR functions and projects as needed.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred. Minimum of 3 years of full circle recruiting experience required. Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle a high-volume workload. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based recruiting platforms. Strong customer service approach for both internal teams and external candidates.
