The Physician Liaison will work with the business development personnel of Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center (RMC) and its affiliates to promote and build relationships between our healthcare system and the medical providers in our service area. The Liaison will be responsible for building and maintaining strong connections with potential referral sources, developing a strong understanding of their needs, working with the healthcare system to resolve issues, and promoting the services that are offered.
Lead outreach efforts to educate medical providers about RMC’s services and programs.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with referral sources to build loyalty, trust and increase referrals into our healthcare system.
Strong understanding of the local and regional healthcare landscape.
Highly motivated to increase health system referrals and improve volumes.
Monitor and analyze provider feedback regarding RMC’s services.
Work closely with RMC staff to resolve issues voiced by providers and provide follow up.
Represent RMC at community functions and events to promote our services and enhance our professional networks.
Provide competitive insight and market intelligence to the business development team.
Document referral efforts and physician engagement and review with business development team.
Assist with regional event planning and development.
Organize and host two Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) student events per year.
Assist with succession planning and participate in recruitment efforts regarding assigned clinic locations.
Key member of business development team
Serve as primary point of contact for referral source
Attend internal meetings
Active involvement in healthcare-related matters on a market-wide basis
If necessary, will require participation in night and weekend events.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare-related services, Marketing, business or related field.
Three (3) or more years in the healthcare industry
Strong understanding of the healthcare environment
Ability to develop and maintain successful relationships
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to problem-solve
