Position Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Recruiter to join our Human Resources team. This on-site role is responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle for both union and non-union positions. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience navigating recruitment processes within a unionized setting. You’ll play a key role in ensuring hiring practices align with both company goals and labor agreements, while delivering an outstanding candidate and hiring manager experience.

Key Responsibilities:
Full-Cycle Recruitment:

 Lead end-to-end recruitment efforts for union and non-union roles, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, and offers.

Job Bid Management:

 Administer the internal job bid process for union positions in accordance with collective bargaining agreements; ensure fair and timely communication and documentation.

Onboarding:

 Coordinate and deliver a smooth and compliant onboarding process for all new hires, ensuring readiness for day one and alignment with union guidelines when applicable.

Pre-Employment Screening:

 Schedule and manage drug screenings, background checks, and other pre-employment requirements for all candidates.

Job Management:

 Create, revise, and maintain accurate job descriptions for union and non-union roles in partnership with department leaders and union representatives.

Compliance & Documentation:

 Maintain detailed records and ensure recruitment activities comply with company policy, labor laws, and collective bargaining agreements.

Stakeholder Engagement:

 Collaborate with hiring managers, HR business partners, and union representatives to meet staffing needs while upholding employment terms and labor standards.

Recruitment Strategy & Process Improvement:

 Contribute to the continuous improvement of recruiting strategies, systems, and workflows to attract and retain top talent.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of recruiting experience, with exposure to both union and non-union environments strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of labor laws and union contracts, especially as they relate to recruitment and job postings.
Proven ability to manage multiple open roles and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS tools.
High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail.

Work Environment:

This position is 100% on-site and requires daily collaboration with employees, managers, and union representatives.
Occasional travel may be required for job fairs, off-site interviews, or visits to other company locations.
