POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for prescreening all physician applications, coordinating reference checks, referring those physicians meeting the standards and professional qualities for placement in a timely manner, and facilitating the physician employment process. They will ensure the company is always represented well and all prospective team members, both successful and unsuccessful, have a positive experience with recruitment and the organization.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITES

Responsible for sourcing, screening, and managing the interview process and subsequent placement activity of practitioners, which may include hospital-based, primary care, medical specialists, surgical specialists, Medical Directors, and other practitioners. Works to continually monitor and improve these processes as needed to ensure a positive experience for candidates and stakeholders. Oversees full life cycle of recruitment for physicians/providers and advanced practitioners. Coordinates and facilitates kick-off call with key stakeholders to build the requisition. Reviews CVs, interviews applicants, accompanies candidates as identified during site-visits and interviews, and assists in coordinating any subsequent shadowing requests as needed. Recommends candidates for employment/placement and participates in employment negotiations to extend offers of employment after approval of Director. Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant employment laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards to ensure recruitment strategy compliance. Reports on these trends to leadership for process improvement opportunities and support on IDN goal alignment. Develops rapport and establishes strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the IDN. Interacts with leadership to assess individual recruiting plans and provides regular communications on updates and status of open requisitions and candidates. As such, will operate with a high level of confidentiality with regular exposure to classified organizational movements. Provides candidates with appropriate disclosure forms and ensures submission of National Practitioner Database self-queries and pertinent case logs for review. Requests references and coordinates appropriate contact to conduct reference checks and conducts social media queries. Ensure applicant’s compliance with local, state, federal, and professional licensure requirements. Utilizes applicant tracking system and IDN tools to support requisition timeline, track and archive candidate movements, and support sourcing efforts. Coordinates a pipeline of appropriate candidates that maintains the network of contacts for existing and future openings. Monitors appropriate ad channels for effectiveness and stewardship. Assesses support collaterals for accuracy and effectiveness. Maintains relationships with medical schools, alumni groups, and other public organizations to find and attract candidates as part of recruiting efforts. Will represent organization at industry and career events as needed. Effectively partners with IDN operations to determine need and placement for temporary staffing and facilitates through staffing agency partnerships to communicate assignment details. Will track and process locum expenses and act as point of contact for timekeeping corrections and confirmation edits as needed. Coordinates with appropriate teams for provider start dates and oversees onboarding handoff to include privileging requests and ensure appropriate credentialing as needed. Collaborates with members of the Provider Services collective teams to ensure a high performing department and achievement of HFMG and IDN goals. Conducts exit interviews with departing providers willing to participate to offer insight into perceived points of friction, organizational opportunities and general feedback as provided. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Human Resources or Hospitality.

Work Experience:

Minimum of two (2) years in healthcare recruiting sales, Human Resources, strategy/business development, credentialing or similar experience.

Licensure:

Valid Driver’s License and clean Motor Vehicle Record and maintained.

Certification:

None Work Experience in

Lieu of Education:

Four (4) years’ experience in provider recruitment, healthcare sales, strategy or similar.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

Proficiency in sourcing and applicant-tracking systems with consent of consistent utilization. Ability to multitask and coordinate multiple complex tasks on an ongoing basis. Ability to work independently and demonstrate adaptability with frequently changing organizational requirements. Projects a polished and professional demeanor and communication style and can quickly build and maintain positive, professional relationships.

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS
Certification:

Certified Physician/Provider Recruitment Professional (CPRP) or similar industry equivalent.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

Experience in healthcare industry with a background in sales and/or marketing, or business development a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Majority of time involves sitting or standing; occasional walking, bending, and stooping. Long periods of computer time or at workstation. Light work that may include lifting or moving objects up to 20 pounds with or without assistance. May be exposed to inside environments with varied temperatures, air quality, lighting and/or low to moderate noise. Communicating with others to exchange information. Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks. Workspace may vary from open to confined, onsite, or remote.
