This position is responsible for attracting and selecting the best qualified candidates for various civilian positions within the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

Examples of Work:

Works with management to understand current and future workforce needs and develops improvements to staffing processes like sourcing and selection Recruit high quality candidates to meet hiring goals Develops, implements, and manages strategic recruitment and employment programs for civilian employees Keep current with sourcing strategies and industry trends Understands the hiring requirements and performance expectations for each division Responsible for developing and adhering to a tight schedule for processing candidates Generate a diverse candidate population using various methods including job boards, membership organizations, and personal networking Inform candidates fully about the job and company, while improving organization attractiveness by emphasizing benefits and perks Provide feedback and suggestions on ways to improve recruiting methods

HRIS Open Requirements/Supplemental Information:

Four years of education, training and/or experience in recruiting. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Must have 1 year of high volume recruiting experience. Employee must have a high level of initiative to meet department goals.
