Key Responsibilities:
Source, screen, and engage qualified candidates, particularly those with military or government contracting backgrounds. Leverage applicant tracking systems (Taleo preferred), job boards, social media, and professional networks to identify and attract top-tier talent. Communicate effectively with candidates throughout the hiring process, ensuring a positive experience and strong alignment with Celestar’s mission. Collaborate with hiring managers to understand position requirements and develop targeted recruiting strategies. Conduct phone, video, and in-person interviews with professionalism and care. Review and format resumes for submission to hiring managers, ensuring consistency and clarity. Represent Celestar at career fairs, industry networking events, and hiring functions as needed. Support internal projects and initiatives that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the recruitment process. Recommend creative sourcing methods and new recruiting platforms or strategies. Assist with administrative recruiting tasks and maintain accurate candidate records. Travel up to 20% as required for recruiting events and candidate engagement.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of recruiting/staffing experience, or 3 years of experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree. At least 2 years of recruiting experience within the defense contracting industry. Proficiency with applicant tracking systems, job boards, and social media recruiting tools. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build meaningful candidate relationships. Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook). Collaborative team player with a positive, solution-oriented attitude. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
