Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Agency Recruiter to source, screen, and onboard qualified CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) drivers for our clients. In this role, you will be the key link between skilled drivers and transportation companies in need of reliable, safety-focused personnel. You’ll manage the full-cycle recruiting process and play a critical role in maintaining strong driver pipelines and meeting client staffing needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Source and attract qualified Class
A & B CDL
drivers through job boards, social media, referrals, and recruiting events. Screen applicants for qualifications, endorsements, driving history, and compliance with
DOT/FMCSA
regulations. Coordinate interviews , road tests, and background checks as required by clients. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of licensing, medical certifications, and safety requirements. Build and maintain relationships with a network of CDL drivers , ensuring a strong talent pool for current and future needs. Work closely with account managers and clients to understand hiring needs and timelines. Ensure all driver documentation and records are accurately collected and filed. Track recruitment metrics and provide regular status updates to internal stakeholders.
Qualifications:
2+ years of recruiting experience , preferably in transportation, logistics, or staffing agency environments. Familiarity with DOT regulations and CDL licensing requirements is highly preferred. Proven ability to source passive candidates and manage a high volume of requisitions. Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills. Experience using ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) and CRM tools. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.
