Senior Recruitment Specialist 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars Tallahassee, FL Join Our Team at Tallahassee State College Senior Recruitment Specialist Tallahassee State College (TSC), recently recognized as one of the Most Promising Places to Work in Community Colleges for 2025 , is excited to announce a full-time opening for the position of Senior Recruitment Specialist – P01769 with Human Resources. What You’ll Do The Senior Recruitment Specialist will perform technical work involving general Human Resources support functions. Day-to-day responsibilities will be included, but not be limited to: Using Workday system in the in-processing for employees, including volunteers/interns. Making employment offers. Notifying candidates of pre-employment requirements. Ensuring applicants’ eligibility for employment. Ensuring all required verifications are provided before processing the hire. Serving as liaison between the candidate and hire manager to determine a start date. Entering new hires, rehires, transfers, and promotions in Workday. Processing actions in Workday inbox by due dates. Ensuring each new candidate receives access to Workday. Provide face-to-face or video onboarding and recruitment training for all new hires and rehires. Oversee the assembly, distribution, and collection of onboarding materials. Close job requisition and notify unsuccessful candidates via Workday once positions are filled. Initiating employment contracts for grant-funded, faculty, and other relevant employees. Maintaining Tuberculosis (TB) test results for DOC grant employees and sending annual reminders of upcoming test due dates. Ensuring immigration documents are up-to-date and notifying employees of approaching expiration dates. Entering educational information into Workday. Notifying candidates that receive a Tentative Non-confirmation (TNC) status from E-Verify in a timely manner. Answering applicant questions regarding recruitment and the application process at the college, answers hiring authority questions regarding the recruitment and hiring process. Attending job fairs and searching the Workday applicant tracking system, as well as social media (LinkedIn) for potential candidates. Directing applicants to recruitment information and available vacancies on the College’s website. Responding to internal and external inquiries via telephone, e-mail, or in person concerning Workday, and onboarding. Directing candidates to Workday regarding onboarding. Providing assistant hiring managers in using the Workday system for hiring. Maintaining the Recruitment website. Acting as a backup for completion of pre-employments background screenings for all new hires, volunteers, and interns. Providing Level II fingerprinting for employees in positions defined by the Colleges policies when needed. Responsible for reviewing the results of each background screening and bringing any background check results that appear to have a questionable comment or negative hit to the attention of the HR Director. Our ideal candidate will have:
A high school diploma or equivalent, and five (5) years of responsible human resources administration experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred. A bachelor’s degree in a related field may substitute for four years of the required experience. Prior experience in employee recruitment is a plus. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Ability to proofread with accuracy and alphabetize documents. Ability to prioritize. Ability to demonstrate strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
