Job Summary:
The Achieve Miami Part-time Program Recruiter is responsible for building and nurturing relationships with school partners (public & private) to recruit volunteers and families as participants in Achieve Miami programs. This role plays a pivotal part in recruiting, onboarding, and managing volunteers as well as identifying and enrolling eligible children and families into Achieve programs. The ideal candidate is passionate about community engagement, skilled at public outreach, and dedicated to improving the lives of children and families.
Key Responsibilities:
Volunteer Recruitment:
Create and execute effective recruitment plans tailored for high school volunteers that come from both public and private schools. Conduct volunteer recruitment presentations and orientation sessions (as needed). Engage with local schools, community centers, and parent groups to raise awareness of available programs, such as Achieve Saturdays, Achieve Music and Achieve Summer. Represent the organization at local fairs, school events, PTA & staff meetings and public meetings to recruit families to register their children. Guide families through the intake process including enrollment documentation, and orientation. Community Engagement Develop and strengthen relationships with school partners, onsite teachers, community organizations, local leaders, and educational institutions. Work closely with the team to participate in community events and provide informational sessions.
Administrative & Reporting:
Regularly compile recruitment and engagement reports as needed/requested. Ensure that all recruitment practices adhere to organizational policies and legal standards. Work in tandem with program teams to align strategies and messaging.

A genuine commitment to enhancing the lives of children, families, and the community. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience in public speaking and outreach. Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain detailed records, and coordinate volunteers and program activities efficiently. Ability to connect and build relationships with multiple stakeholders Prior experience in outreach, recruitment is preferred. Comfortable using Microsoft Office/Google Workspace; familiarity with volunteer management or CRM software is an asset.
Work Environment Flexible Hours:
May include evenings or weekends to attend community events and support program needs. Local travel required for community outreach and recruitment events. Collaboration with a dedicated team committed to serving the local community.
Requirements:
Valid Driver’s License MDCPS and DCF Background Clearance Details:
This is a part-time role with an hourly rate of $20, up to a maximum of 8 hrs per week for 31 weeks between September and May. Recruitment will take place in the following regions: North (Little Haiti, Overtown, Miami Gardens), South (Cutler Ridge, South Dade, Homestead) The position will report directly to the (Program Directors and/or Alternate Staff Member, as assigned).
