Position Summary
The Nurse Recruiter demonstrates leadership abilities while maintaining an effective recruitment and selection programs for Registered Nurses within SJCHS. Performs all aspects of on-boarding of nurses and assists in planning, implementing, and evaluating recruitment strategies.
Education
Bachelors in Nursing - Required
Experience
1-2 Years Nursing or Healthcare Recruitment - Required
License & Certification
Professional in Human Resources (or SHRM-CP) - Preferred
Core Job Functions
Leads recruitment activities for assigned Clinical/allied areas.
Coordinates strategy meetings with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and provide regular updates. Create recruitment plan that promotes a partnership with leadership to provide the necessary talent. This plan to include coordinating job fairs, social media platforms, innovative trends and best recruitment practices. Develops an expansion recruitment plan for the recruitment of New Graduate Nurses.
Collects and processes requisitions to fill vacant positions. Identifies internal and external candidates, to include employee referrals, screening resumes and conducting/scheduling interviews by phone, zoom or in person. Maintains updated candidate status in applicant tracking system to comply with Leadership reporting. Advises hiring managers and facilitates in selection decision making process. Delivers and negotiates job offers or rejections to candidates.
Collects offer paperwork to include Offer Work sheet, New Hire Checklist, Nursing license, etc. Maintains and delivers recruitment paperwork in a timely basis to data entry
