EMPLOYMENT TERMS
This job is a full-time, benefited, non-exempt position in the Student Affairs Division that reports to the Manager, Student Recruitment. This position’s primary location will be the Lawrenceville Campus but may occasionally work at the Alpharetta North-Fulton Campus.
SALARY:
$48,880 per year
SCHEDULE
Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am- 5:00 pm; Friday, 8:00 am- 4:00 pm. Occasional early morning, evening, and/or weekend events. Flexibility is a must.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
(Job Code 11124): Bachelor’s degree in a related field •and• Two (2) years of related work experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
In addition to minimum qualifications, the preferred candidate will be able to pass the state’s motor vehicle record background check. Candidates will be traveling frequently within the region. The preferred candidate should also have the ability to stand for long periods of time in addition to lifting and carrying items up to 20 lbs. Experience working with or presenting to various audiences; At least one year of Admissions counseling and/or recruitment experience; or related sales experience; Work experience in post-secondary education using a student information system such as BANNER. Experience in conducting presentations before small and large audiences.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Under general supervision, assist students from high schools in and around our service delivery area with the planning and development of post-secondary opportunities including dual enrollment students, students transitioning from dual enrollment to beginning student, and first-time beginning students. Coordinate and conduct various student recruitment activities for Gwinnett Technical College. Key responsibilities will involve introducing the college and its program offerings to prospective students and assisting them in the application and admissions process. The successful candidate will coordinate and present the technical college post-secondary options at high schools and college-related events. This may also include working with local businesses and civic organizations to identify and recruit perspective students that fall within the post-secondary demographics. Prepare and submit administrative reports that track and assess the effectiveness of recruitment activities and initiatives. Occasional evening and weekend work is required. Duties/Responsibilities Percentage of Time Plan and implement student recruitment activities at high schools in and around the service delivery area including providing information to students, parents and staff regarding Gwinnett Technical College, the Dual Enrollment program, transitioning from dual enrollment to beginning student, first-time beginning students, the admissions process for all student types and other related topics. 40% Follow up with students in a timely manner regarding their admissions status through communications methods to include email, text message platform, phone calls, in-person and virtual assistance 15% Assist students with inputting applications into the student information system and counsel students on additional admissions documentation 10% Collaborate with faculty at program-specific events 5% Collect, track, follow-up and record all potential student leads. Generate data for inclusion in reports and project goals 5% Present at college fairs and events designed to encourage student enrollment 5% Assist with the design and execution of special events, projects and activities 5% Displays a high level of effort and commitment to performing work; operates effectively within the organizational structure; demonstrates trustworthiness and responsible behavior. Maintain excellent working relationships with and serve as a liaison to internal and external customers 5% Keep abreast of policies, procedures, and state or federal laws that may impact project initiatives 5% Other duties as assigned 5%
