Job Summary:

Responsible for sourcing, screening, recruitment, coordinating of interviews, travel arrangements and site visits, referencing, negotiating employment offers of physicians and advanced practitioners in designated specialties. Develop effective strategies/campaigns for recruitment of physicians and advanced practitioners in training and practice in designated specialties including direct mail, print and internet advertising, residency programs and state/national medical organizations and specialty meetings. Maintains database of all candidate information to include curriculum vitae, contact information, referrals and follow-up information. Acts as a liason with candidate and practice regarding contractual, credentialing and other issues. Limited amount of travel necessary to attend job fairs, conferences to secure contacts for recruitment needs.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Identify and recruit the highest quality physicians and advanced practitioners.

  • Source, identify and contact targeted physicians and advanced practitioners through internet, journal advertising, job fairs, specialty conferences, direct mail, networking and database searches.
  • Identify and contact best residency programs and practitioner programs. Recruit from these programs via email blast, flyers and visits.
  • Attend professional association meetings to receive current and up to date information regarding trends and market data regarding recruitment of physicians and advanced practitioners. Develop effective strategies/campaigns for recruitment of physicians and advanced practitioners.
  • Create and develop recruitment ads, direct mail campaigns and flyers.
  • Responsible for maintaining job postings on internet sites for designated speacialites and/or association.
  • Communicates and initiates process with outside recruiters and/or agencies on an as needed basis for permanent placement of physicians or advanced practitioners. Acts as a liason with candidate and practice regarding contractual, credentialing and provider orientation.
  • Continuous communication with credentialing liaison, DPOs and managers regarding new provider credentialing status.
  • Works with legal, DPOs and practice regarding contract negotiations of physician and advanced practitioner.
  • Coordinates and notifies new provider, office manager and DPO of provider orientation date. Maintains database of all candidate information.
  • Transfers curriculum vitae of physician or advanced practitioner to ACT database.
  • Maintain current curriculum vitae, contact information, interviews scheduled, referrals and follow-up information in database.
  • Designate candidate by specialty, group type and availability. Attend job fairs and conferences to secure contacts for recruitment needs.
  • Continuly searching for recruitment fairs and conferences to maintain presense and promotion of WellStar Physicians Group.
  • Limited out of state travel to attend specialty conferences and job fairs.
Required Minimum Education:

Bachelors Business Administration/Management or Bachelors Human Resources Management or Bachelors Other Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s): All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated. Additional License(s) and Certification(s):

Required Minimum Experience:

Minimum 3 years experience in physician recruitment or related recruitment experience

Required Required Minimum Skills:

Must have exceptional organizational, critical thinking and interviewing skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of leadership and maintain excellent customer service. Must be familiar with employment law, recruitment best practices, and management tools such as position control and Kronos. Experience with applicant tracking systems is preferred. Must have overall knowledge with computer programs such as word and excel. Must be internet savvy and experienced in resume mining online databases. Requires exceptional communication skills with the ability to effectively support senior leaders within the organization.
