Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 40-50 hours/week, with overtime as needed We are hiring a Staffing Specialist to support refinery and industrial staffing in Sulphur, LA. This role focuses on sourcing, screening, onboarding, and managing candidates for safety and general labor positions in industrial environments.

Responsibilities:

Source, screen, and interview candidates for refinery and plant-based positions. Conduct walk-in and phone interviews for Safety Attendants, General Laborers, and Light Equipment Operators. Coordinate pre-employment drug testing and hands-on safety training (training provided). Maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates to meet ongoing staffing needs. Track and report recruitment metrics (time-to-fill, placement activity). Communicate with hiring managers about open roles, candidate progress, and start dates. Ensure all candidates meet compliance and safety standards per client and refinery requirements. Assist with onboarding and orientation, including documentation and training scheduling. Oversee and manage drug screening for pre-employment, random, and post-incident testing.

Qualifications:

Prior experience in recruiting or staffing required (industrial staffing preferred). Strong organizational and communication skills. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) is a plus. Willing to learn drug screening and compliance processes (training provided). Ability to manage multiple job openings and keep accurate candidate records.
