Job Description
Thank you for your interest in employment with Louisiana Tech University. Louisiana Tech University is seeking a candidate to represent and recruit for the university in the Southwest Louisiana recruitment territory. This employee will work in the Office of Admissions as a regional employee living in Southwest Louisiana as an extension of the university. Manage recruitment activities within the Southwest Louisiana territory. This includes but is not limited to college fairs, private visits to high schools, presentations, and award ceremonies. Follow-up recruiting with personal notes, phone calls, texts, emails, etc. Plan and execute events within territory which include but are not limited to counselor breakfast(s), yield event(s), social(s), and counselor trips to campus. Visit with students and parents at determined meetings and locations or via online meeting technology. Assist with on-campus events as needed and attend annual, on-campus training. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor’s degree. Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and CRM software; interpersonal communication skills; strong desire to help students; knowledge of all academics areas; extracurricular activities and university policies and procedures. This position requires residence in Southwest Louisiana(Lafayette/Lake Charles preferred). Essential Functions Ability to communicate both in writing and verbally; be a good listener and problem solver Ability to assess past performance and brainstorm new and creative ways to meet goals Requires driving a vehicle Requires overnight travel, work nights and weekends Walking and standing 50% of the time
