The Opportunity
Lesley University is seeking a self-motivated Recruiter to join our team. This position offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in the university’s recruitment strategy and build relationships with prospective candidates. As a key member of our Talent Acquisition team, you will be responsible for overseeing the full-cycle recruitment process while ensuring an inclusive and engaging candidate experience from the initial screen process to offer negotiation.
The selected individual, reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, will lead full-cycle, high-volume recruitment across university departments. This includes sourcing candidates, managing search processes, supporting search committees, and coordinating interviews and offers. The role requires strong collaboration with hiring managers, effective communication of Lesley’s mission and benefits, and a focus on inclusive hiring practices. The Recruiter will also support onboarding, maintain candidate pipelines, and use tools like Workday to ensure an efficient, compliant, and positive hiring experience.
Qualities and Capabilities
The successful candidate will have:
at least 2+ years of full-cycle, high-volume recruiting or related experience; facilitates an inclusive recruitment experience for candidates from initial screening through offer negotiation;
exceptional communication (verbal and written), planning, organizational, problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills;
strong attention to detail and ablility to juggle shifting priorities and manage time effectively;
ability to work across the university to create and implement initiatives that align and engage employees and candidates;
proven ability to exercise good judgment and discretion;
proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems (Workday experience preferred);
ability to effectively source passive candidates, build talent pools and learn new recruitment processes as well as technologies;
a comprehensive knowledge of talent acquisition, human resources, employment laws, and regulations, normally obtained through a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration (or related field) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
