Overview Herzog Contracting Corp. is currently seeking a decisive, focused, and energetic Recruiter in St. Joseph, MO to join our team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- This is a non-exhaustive overview of the job duties for this position.
- Promote the company’s leading reputation and culture.
- Involved with the full-cycle recruiting process – applicant to onboarding as a new hire.
- Recruit for a wide variety of positions including professional, skilled trades/craft, construction, and operations.
- Develop collaborative relationships with Hiring Managers to understand their specific talent needs.
- Maintain timely and meaningful communication with candidates and hiring managers.
- Determine appropriate sourcing strategies including posting jobs, database searches, networking, promoting job/profile pages, etc.
- Maintain accurate and applicant/job information in our applicant tracking system.
- Provide guidance related to the market and the candidate pipeline, as well as interview and selection best practices.
- Attend job fairs and college career events.
- Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog’s Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position.
- Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position.
- Other duties as assigned.
Travel:
- Some nationwide travel required.

Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree and/or HR experience preferred.
- Must have excellent computer skills – must be proficient with Microsoft Office products.
- Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Applicant Tracking Systems experience preferred.
- A construction, engineering, or transportation background a plus.
- Highly organized with the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
- Subject to pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review.
- Subject to pre-employment physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen
- Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis.
