Human Resources Job Description The Talent Acquisition role is responsible for managing the candidate experience and full cycle recruiting which includes intake, posting, sourcing, leveraging community partners, screening candidates, training hiring leaders and search committees on compliant interviewing skills. The role will also play a critical part in HR strategic projects and tasks including onboarding, orientation, and access and opportunity. Determine which advertising resources are appropriate for posting open positions, leverage creative sourcing methods (internal and external) and community groups, and identify tools to proactively find and screen diverse talent and successfully carry out offer negotiations. Initiate the background check process, review for discrepancies, and escalate to the Human Resources Business Parter or the Executive Director of Human Resources when applicable.
Leverage multiple technologies to proactively source, screen and create diverse talent pipelines and identify new and best in class talent acquisition practices.
Consult with hiring managers to write position postings. Identify talent sourcing strategies and timelines including where to post the faculty and staff openings, such as websites/publications/agencies, based on successful candidate sourcing metrics. Partner with hiring managers to ensure posting optimization and proactively offer talent recommendations.
Use traditional and non-traditional resources to identify and attract qualified candidates including expanding opportunities to reach candidates. Work with cross functionally to develop advertising initiatives (internal and external) to ensure high visibility with potential candidates.
Train and guide search committees and hiring managers to ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations.
Create and maintain talent networks, pipelines, and opportunities to actively engage and increase applicant pools.
Create reports, manage data, and track key metrics at regular intervals as requested.
Request background screenings at the proper stage. Request drug screenings and additional evaluations as necessary. Review results and refer discrepancies to the Human Resources Business Partner when necessary.
Lead and enhance the candidate’s new hire experience including facilitating orientation as needed, pre-employment onboarding, and other new hire related events.
Manage the full talent acquisition lifecycle for all new hires including offer generation and negotiation, background check initiation, I-9 processing and new hire documentation completion.
Manage the offer extension and negotiation process in close partnership and alignment with HR and Finance.

Required knowledge:
Knowledge of applicant tracking systems.
Previous experience with ADP Recruiting Management preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products, including Excel for preparing reports.
Working knowledge of state and federal labor laws and regulations.
Working knowledge of key principles and practices of Human Resources.

Formal education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
