The Student Recruiter, On-Campus, will focus on recruiting and supporting prospective students considering specific programs (deemed high priority annually) through the onboarding and admissions process. The student recruiter will build partnerships with key external community contacts, like nonprofit leaders, relevant school system contacts, career and college counselors, employers, and faith-based organizations. Working closely with K-12 school system leaders, community business leaders, and nonprofit organization leaders, this position will customize tours and recruitment activities for prospective students and community engagement around specific programs and initiatives at GTCC (Ex. CTE-specific info sessions, open houses, in-classroom/community info sessions). In addition to working with key external partners, this position will work closely with academic deans and program directors to understand their recruitment needs and align events and activities to drive students to academic programs. They will identify and cultivate student prospects, applicants, and admitted students through direct communications, including in-person, phone, text, email, and the CRM system. The Student Recruiter, On-Campus, will create and deliver presentations for prospective students and partners about the benefits of community college primarily on-campus and some external events. This position’s prospect portfolio will focus on supporting essential GTCC programs (Career Technical Education and transfer pathways) and recruiting prospective students from local high schools, community partners, and employers as referral sources and support traditional, non-traditional (adult learners), and multi-cultural prospective students. Min Salary $56,391.86 Mid Salary $63,440.85 -We offer a competitive salary package that will be determined based on the candidate’s experience level and qualifications related to the job. Compensation will be commensurate with your level of experience. Duties/Functions Difficult Challenges Contacts Education Required Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited post-secondary institution. Education Preferred Experience Required Minimum two years’ experience networking for business or sales Minimum two years’ experience working with diverse prospective student populations including first-generation college students, students from under-represented populations, and students transitioning from adult high school programs. Minimum two years’ experience in event planning Experience Preferred KSA Required Ability to work independently Event planning skills Ability to make data-driven decisions to promote the success of recruitment initiatives Strong interpersonal skills Public speaking Comfortable using/learning technology to support communication and recruitment activities Ability to work a flexible schedule. Registration, graduation, and other heavy work periods will require additional hours, including evening and weekend hours. KSA Preferred Department/Job Specific Requirements Valid driver’s license Strong understanding of the mission of the community college and a focus on student success.
