Job Description Migrant Recruiter Job Description General Statement of Job:
Recruit eligible migrant families in Lenoir and Greene Counties and provide services for them in accordance with all applicable federal statutes, regulations, and the project application. Report to the director of federal programs.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify eligible migrant families and out-of-school youth in Lenoir and Greene Counties Complete and maintain all required documentation on eligible families and out-of-school youth Assist families and out-of-school youth in locating available community resources Maintain accurate data as required by applicable federal statues and regulations Assist migrant students by helping to ensure that these students’ academic and supplemental needs are met, and that migrant children receive full and appropriate opportunities to meet the same challenging state academic content and student academic achievement standards that all children are expected to meet Interpret (English to Spanish; Spanish to English) for migrant families
Additional Job Functions or Assigned Tasks:
Attend district, state, and national meetings as requested in order to keep abreast of the latest trends, policies, and recruitment strategies for migrant recruiters Other tasks as assigned by the director of federal programs
Minimum Training and Experience:
High school diploma (or equivalent) required, two-year associates degree or higher preferred Ability to interpret (Spanish to English; English to Spanish) required; ability to translate (Spanish to English; English to Spanish) preferred Minimum Qualifications or Standards Required to
