Job Description
- PRIMARY PURPOSE
- Coordinates the physician and advanced practice professional (APP) onboarding and orientation processes for Advocate Health.
Acts as a liaison among local and service line leadership, the physician integration team and the physician/APP during the post hire process. Manages the logistical details and needs associated with onboarding of new clinicians to support the hiring, workforce planning, integration, succession and retention efforts of Advocate Health.
- Major Responsibilities
- + Establishes and maintains standardized onboarding processes and procedures that meet the needs of Advocate Health and the clinician while ensuring continuity and consistency for proper integration into the system.
+ Works as an onboarding liaison, in collaboration with the physician integration team, to develop a detailed and industry leading orientation and retention tactical plan. Responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining evaluation tools and utilizing the data collected to enhance services and processes and assure adherence to Advocate Health standards and strategies. Analyzes and evaluates the effectiveness of clinician recruitment, integration, orientation, and retention plans and execution strategies. Creates post-interview tools that aid in making appropriate candidate selections. Creates and analyzes post-hire evaluation strategies utilized in the continuous optimization and enhancement of the onboarding program. + Acts as a backup site liaison and provides information during the pre-interviewing/interviewing process to help answer questions, provide facility and community information, and to facilitate contact between candidates and physician leaders, ensuring the process is efficient and effective. May also support the physician integration team by assisting with coordination of community tours, identifying possible family needs and researching available resources to address these needs. Responsible for the logistical planning and execution of programmatic planning to ensure a top tier new hire experience. Monitors and ensures critical events and deadlines are achieved to provide a smooth transition for incoming clinicians to maximize new clinician engagement and retention. + Creates and maintains physician welcome packet material to ensure appropriate and necessary information is clearly communicated and distributed in a timely manner. + Collaborates with key stakeholders such as operations, marketing, administration, and medical group leadership to ensure consistent and effective integration for clinicians. Works closely with multiple integrating functional areas such as Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Compliance, Coding, Risk, and Epic Training Teams to establish and deliver informational and training sessions for newly hired clinicians. + Coordinates processes and critical projects for the Clinician Services and Recruitment team. Leads project planning and implements process, cultural and organizational change strategies to support the successful adoption of projects. Works directly with leaders and team members to optimize practice, identify unique solutions and manage project tasks to scope and defined timelines.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

- Work Experience
- Typically requires 3 years of experience in human resources, marketing, medical group operations or communications that includes experiences in developing relationships with clinicians, educating clinicians on services and programs and facilitating processes across multiple teams.
- Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Proven ability to work independently while making critical decisions under tight timeframes and multiple competing priorities.
Understanding of recruitment strategies, retention practices, business and market development. Skills in evaluating, addressing, and providing resolutions to general issues and challenges. Skills in problem solving for effective resolution. Knowledge of geographic area served to provide guidance to physicians and their families on the community and surrounding areas. Knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations impacting the recruitment function, human resources and the overall implications to the organization. Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and experience to effectively interact and build working relationships with physicians and leadership at all levels. Ability to act as a resource and providing guidance to others. Ability to establish exceptional individual relationships based on credibility of expertise and trust. Proficient in using Microsoft Office and system applications.
