We are actively hiring for a Patient Recruitment / Community Outreach Specialist opportunity at the Flourish Research site in Matthews, NC. This site, founded as Alzheimer’s Memory Center, has been contributing to medical breakthroughs in Alzheimer’s research and treatment for more than 20 years! The Patient Recruitment / Community Outreach Specialist conducts phone screening interviews to assess potential study volunteers’ eligibility and interest in clinical research studies based on specific protocol criteria. This role involves clearly communicating study details, including procedures, risks, and benefits, in alignment with approved informed consent documents and recruitment materials. This role also involves being active in the community, attending open houses, health screenings, expos, recruitment events, and more!

Shift:

Monday- Thursday, 7:30 AM – 5 PM, some Fridays as needed

Compensation:

Competitive hourly rate + discretionary quarterly bonus based on productivity

RESPONSIBILITIES

Screens and recruits potential study participants in accordance with protocol, IRB, GCP, and ICH guidelines. Conducts phone interviews, gathers medical history, and enters participant data into the CTMS database. Maintains accurate records and follows up with no-shows, pre-screens, and scheduled participants. Participates in planning and training meetings for assigned studies; manages recruitment campaign tools and reporting. Attends community events and walk-in screenings to support recruitment efforts. Upholds patient confidentiality and complies with federal regulations and company policies. Collaborates with internal teams to meet recruitment goals and provides feedback on upcoming studies. Represents the organization professionally in all communications and interactions. Performs duties safely, efficiently, and in alignment with organizational standards. Completes additional tasks as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma required; college degree preferred 0-3+ years of experience in clinical or biological research Experience with outbound and inbound calling Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong critical thinking, organization, and problem-solving abilities Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and collaboratively Professional demeanor with a strong work ethic Outstanding customer service and telephone skills Familiarity with medical terminology Understanding of IRB, FDA, GCP, and HIPAA guidelines is a plus Ability to adapt to new tasks and contribute to process improvements Flourish Research offers an excellent comprehensive benefits package, a supportive and collaborative work environment, and endless growth opportunities.
