We are a growing manufacturing company specializing in the production of advanced power machines for industrial use. As we expand operations in Charlotte, NC, we are seeking an energetic and resourceful Skilled Trades Recruiter who thrives both in the office and out in the community, helping us build a strong, skilled workforce of machine operators, electricians , and quality supervisors .

Position Summary:

This role combines traditional recruiting responsibilities with field-based community outreach . The ideal candidate will be confident in attending job fairs, building partnerships with local employment centers and trade schools, and actively promoting open positions throughout the Charlotte area.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruit for skilled manufacturing roles, including electricians, machine operators, and quality control supervisors. Source candidates through online platforms, referrals, community events, and direct outreach. Represent the company at job fairs, hiring events, trade school presentations, and community workforce development programs. Visit employment centers, training programs, and vocational schools throughout the Charlotte metro area to promote job opportunities and build hiring pipelines. Organize and coordinate on-site and off-site hiring events and job fairs. Build and maintain strong relationships with community organizations, workforce development agencies, and local educational institutions. Manage candidate tracking, scheduling, onboarding, and hiring metrics using applicant tracking systems.

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in recruiting or talent acquisition, preferably in skilled trades or manufacturing. Experience or strong interest in community outreach, external networking, and field recruitment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local travel. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple recruitment efforts simultaneously. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and applicant tracking software (ATS).

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of skilled trades such as electrical, mechanical, and quality assurance roles. Experience working with employment centers, community colleges, or trade schools. Bilingual in English/Spanish is a strong plus. Familiarity with Charlotte’s workforce development network.

Job Types:

Full-time, Contract Pay:

$20.00 – $25.00 per hour

Schedule:

Day shift Monday to Friday Overtime Weekends as needed
