- Cherry Hospital Human Resource Department is recruiting for a HR Technician II in Salary Administration/Recruitment section, a combined role for the complete life cycle of vacancies to be filled.
This position is advanced level work providing technical assistance in recruitment and maintaining a sound and equitable Salary Administration Program for Cherry Hospital. Work is completed independently, which includes the analysis, interpretation, and execution of all

recruitment and salary administration policies and Integrated HR-Payroll System. The position work has direct and indirect effect on employee and agency positions by effectively analyzing, maintaining, and applying specific personnel or position changes/actions. Position level of Recruitment and Salary Administration responsibility, the incumbent may occasionally recommend and develop new program methods and techniques, utilizing a thorough knowledge of salary administration and recruitment policies, procedures, and precedents to adapt new methods to meet the changes in needs and to improve the HR function. Position is responsible for recruitment activity tracking via Smart Sheet, regular communication via multiple methods with internal and external customers, new hire onboarding, credential verification and accurate payroll processing. Position ensures that creditable state service is correct in the Integrated Payroll System for staff. Position will audit actions, monthly pay and investigate payroll errors and complaints. Must be able to work under pressure and in stressful situations, be able to organize and prioritize work and project assignments, pay close attention to detail, deal with a variety of people and exercise judgment and confidentiality. Position is responsible for file retention/purge in areas of focus. The role will foster a collaborative relationship with Central HR functional teams to drive optimization of HR initiatives and deliverables.

Although rural, Cherry Hospital is convenient to the Triangle Area (Raleigh/Durham) and the coastal region of the state. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies

- Demonstrated experience with preparing and writing effective postings, recruiting, screening, and evaluating applicants, and onboarding new hires.

Management prefers applicants with the following: - Experience using NeoGov, Smartsheet, and Integrated HR-Payroll System.
- Salary Administration experience with State Government.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Associate’s degree, typically in Human Resources or relevant field from an appropriately accredited institution and 1 year of experience required;
or 2 years of progressive experience in Human Resources; or
equivalent combination or education and experience.
Degrees must be from appropriately accredited colleges or universities.
