Talent Acquisition Specialist 3.6 3.6 out of 5 stars New York, NY • Remote This is a remote position that requires 10% travel across NYC. Candidates must be local to NYC or willing to self-relocate to NYC within 30 days of hire.

Summary:

The Child Center of NY is seeking a resourceful, innovative, and highly organized Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team. This individual will play a key role in shaping our hiring strategy by developing and executing multi-channel sourcing plans, building strong relationships with hiring managers, and delivering a thoughtful candidate experience from start to finish. The ideal candidate brings both curiosity and creativity to their work, demonstrates high personal accountability, and is skilled in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This role requires excellent communication skills, a professional demeanor, and a commitment to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver a consistently positive and engaging candidate experience throughout every stage of the recruitment process. Develop, implement, and continuously improve tailored sourcing strategies to attract top talent for a variety of roles. Coordinate and manage full-cycle recruitment processes, including scheduling and following up on interviews, conducting screenings, and ensuring timely feedback to candidates and hiring teams. Participate in job fairs, both virtually and in person, and attend other hiring-related events and meetings on a regular basis. Deliver basic training sessions to hiring managers on recruitment systems, processes, and best practices. Create and deliver engaging, visually clean presentations to internal and external stakeholders. Serve as a point of contact and subject matter expert on our Applicant Tracking System (ATS), with a strong preference for experience using Dayforce. Maintain accurate recruitment data and reporting, with strong proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments to ensure a seamless recruitment process aligned with organizational goals. Uphold a high standard of professionalism, confidentiality, and responsiveness in all candidate, hiring manager, and team interactions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or Associates Degree plus additional relevant experience Minimum of 5+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in a high volume or fast paced environment. Proven ability to source creatively and strategically across various platforms and networks. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly deliver detailed information effectively across all levels of the organization. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (e.g., using formulas, pivot tables, data tracking). Experience with Dayforce or other enterprise-level ATS platforms strongly preferred. Ability to travel for in-person events and meetings. A self-starter with a strong sense of ownership, attention to detail, and a solution oriented mindset.
