Summary/Objective:

We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Recruiter to help us attract and retain top-tier construction talent. This role will oversee full-cycle recruiting for field and office positions across our divisions, with a focus on sourcing high-quality candidates for multi-skilled trade and construction positions. This role will partner closely with hiring managers, HR, and external recruiting partners to ensure a seamless and strategic hiring process.
Essential Functions:
Source candidates via job boards, LinkedIn, referrals, and industry networks. Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate interview logistics with hiring teams. Collaborate with hiring managers to define role requirements and develop job postings tailored to each division’s needs. Maintain candidate records in BambooHR and other ATS platforms. Manage relations with external recruiters and staffing agencies, including contracts and fee negotiations. Represent Harper GC at career fairs, industry events, and university recruiting programs. Measure recruiting metrics like time-to-fill, source effectiveness, and candidate satisfaction. Assist with onboarding and orientation processes alongside HR and hiring managers.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or related degree in HR, Business, etc. preferred. 3+ years of recruitment experience, preferably in construction or skilled trades. Strong understanding of the Carolinas labor market and regional construction landscape. Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (e.g., BambooHR) and sourcing tools. Knowledge of OSHA certifications, trade licensing,g and construction job classifications.

None.
Work Environment:
Position affords the opportunity for flexible work from home and the office. Typical office hours, Monday-Friday, 8 AM-5PM. Hours may vary depending on demand. 80% Sitting, 20% standing or walking.
Physical Demands:
Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work. No special physical demands are required to perform the work but usually involve prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending, and carrying of light items such as papers, books, small parts, driving an automobile, etc. While this work typically is not physically demanding, it can be mentally demanding, with many deadlines needing to be met consistently.
Travel Required:
Minimal but will be required from time to time for career fairs, regional office meetings, construction job site visits, or company events. Valid US driver’s license required
