Job Description The Director of Recruiting is responsible for leading the development and execution of comprehensive recruiting strategies to attract, hire, and on-board highly skilled clinical and non-clinical talent across the Children’s system. This leader ensures Children’s recruiting efforts develop qualified talent pipelines that support Children’s business objectives. Reporting to the Vice President Human Resources, the Director leads a team of full lifecycle recruiting professionals responsible for system wide recruiting. The Director is responsible for ensuring the recruiting team is effective in pipeline development, attracting, assessing, hiring, and retaining diverse talent, and remaining fully compliant with all regulatory requirements. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Establish and develop recruitment strategies across the Children’s system. Determine new and innovative strategies to activate future sourcing activities and continuously improve the recruiting process as needed. Lead recruiting teams to activate recruiting strategies to achieve organizational goals. Develop talent pools by leading the activation of sourcing strategies and sourcing implementation plans by function/job. Develop and manage sourcing channels and operating budgets. Continuously monitor and communicate results of sourcing strategies. Educate key stakeholders in strategic direction for the sourcing channels and facilitate the activation and ultimate success of the channels. Understand Children’s business plans and ensure recruiting strategies support these plans. Understand and apply all relevant marketplace information and apply to recruiting strategies. Create and manage the ability to produce detailed records and statistics related to the staffing strategy. Select team members and apply sound performance management practices to develop a sourcing team. Partner with other functional leaders to develop, implement, market, and evaluate a systemic approach to projecting human capital needs. Ensure compliance and fair employment laws and labor practices. Candidate Qualifications Experience Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in recruiting, human resources, or related department preferrable in a healthcare setting. At least five (5) years of experience as a senior manager in a human resources role. Direct experience developing and improving recruitment processes and workflow. Experience developing and leading complex enterprise recruiting initiatives, strategies, and projects. Firsthand experience with recruiting technologies including job board integration, candidate relationship management (CRM), and candidate assessment instruments. Experience with Workday Human Capital and Phenom Talent Acquisition are highly preferred. Education Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or related field is required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proven success in building and leading high-performance teams that deliver superior customer service by achieving desired results within specified timelines. Ability to stay informed of industry best practices and future recruiting trends. Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate data. Ability to leverage technology to streamline and optimize processes Thorough knowledge of all federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and compliance requirements. Strong partnering and influencing skills, adept at collaborating with all levels inside an organization, including the highest executive levels of the organization. Strong people skills, including demonstrated experience collaborating with multiple disparate stakeholders at all levels. Demonstrated experience in developing creative solutions to complex problems. Comfortable driving change and embracing innovation in face of ambiguity and complexity. Ability to distill complex information into key messages and clearly and simply communicate in a compelling way to front line employees and executives alike. An ability to inspire and align faculty and staff, both those within the department and those with whom the department interacts.
