Job Description

Director of Recruiting and Onboarding 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars Norcross, GA 30071 As the Director of Operations Recruiting and Onboarding, you will lead strategic initiatives and manage a dynamic team to execute high-impact recruiting, onboarding, and workforce management practices. You will oversee the Recruiting Coordinator team, guide all Management Team and Hourly hiring practices, and collaborate with senior leadership to ensure that Waffle House attracts and retains top-tier talent. The Director will also supervise recruitment marketing efforts, ensure brand consistency across platforms, manage technical integrations for hiring systems, and support workforce planning and People Team operations including compensation, onboarding, training, and leave coordination. This Support Team role is based out of our Corporate Office in Norcross, GA in the metro Atlanta area. Our Corporate Office Support Team consists of 300+ Associates who are committed to supporting our Operations Team as they proudly serve and create memorable experiences for our Customers. Health & Wellness Package including medical, dental, vision and life benefits, and health-related activities Employee Assistance Program free to all Associates and their household members Paid Time Off of up to 4 weeks and six paid holidays A strong, unique culture built upon putting people first, showing up and servant leadership Unlimited learning and development opportunities Internal referral program Community involvement and volunteer opportunities Team building activities department and company-wide What you’ll do: Lead and coach the Recruiting Coordinator team on best practices and hiring processes Envision, implement, and continuously improve recruiting policies and procedures Oversee hiring practices for Maintenance Technicians and collaborate with relevant departments Supervise recruitment marketing, online advertising, and employer brand presence Serve as liaison with IT and Compensation teams on hiring systems and reporting Facilitate interdepartmental training and coaching sessions for recruiting team Coordinate job/pay changes, LOA coverage, and workforce tracking for the People Team Maintain accurate vendor relations and hiring process protocols Manage company presence across job platforms like Indeed, LinkedIn, and Handshake Job duties and responsibilities are not all inclusive What we’re looking for: Someone with strong strategic thinking and change management skills Excellent interpersonal, time management, and communication abilities Ability to lead without formal authority and collaborate cross-functionally Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word Knowledge of recruiting systems and Waffle House people platforms High adaptability and comfort working in a fast-paced environment

Experience/Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred Proven experience in recruiting, onboarding, and workforce management Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams and projects Skilled in creative problem solving and process improvement
