Bachelor’s degree
Working knowledge of the NCAA rules and regulations related to recruiting and working with student-athletes
Exceptional interpersonal and counseling skills
Experience with recruiting student-athletes
Experience working within an
NCAA FBS

License/Certification Required Preferred Qualifications Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The athletic program at Appalachian State University operates on the premise that intercollegiate athletics is an integral part of the institution’s overall program of education. Priority is given to high standards of both academic and athletic quality – the goal being the complete development of the student-athlete. The Director of Recruiting Relations assists the Head Football Coach and Director of Recruiting with the planning of official and unofficial visits, coordinating recruiting events, and handling daily administrative and operational tasks within the football program.. Support and assist with the preparation and execution of both official and unofficial visits
Assist with planning processes for detailed, organized, unique and memorable on-campus events such as Game Day, Junior Days, & other large events.
Assist with keeping all recruit data information as well as all recruiting communications (write list, phone calls, visits, etc.)
Assist with the recruit write list.
Help with prospect note sheets for the coaches’ knowledge.
Assist with keeping the Recruiting Operations Calendar up to date.
Assist with managing and executing the Recruiting Operations Student Program.
Help with managing the recruiting department’s Twitter account to showcase the program and enhance its brand presence as well as communicate with recruits.
Additional tasks as assigned.
