The Associate Vice President (AVP) of Talent Acquisition is responsible for sourcing, screening and assessing talent for purposes of aligning viable candidate fit with the organization’s staffing needs. This individual develops a presence in the talent community that represents employer brand to both active and passive candidates. The AVP manages the processes, administration, and communications necessary to maintain a talent pipeline and assists in making effective hires that support Sun River Health’s talent strategy. This position will also manage and oversee the provider recruitment organization wide. This individual will continually be on the lookout for new recruitment opportunities and will have the ability to formulate strategies that drive engagement for our consumers and take company’s recruiting strategy to the next level. This position will be expected to travel and network across all three of our regions on a regular basis therefore position is considered remote/hybrid.

Key Responsibilities:

Proactively develop a creative, strategic sourcing plan using multiple channels and technologies, including social media, LinkedIn, Indeed and external recruiting agencies. Manage all aspects of the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, resume sourcing and screening and interview coordination. Create compelling messaging and materials to communicate Sun River Health’s employer brand and attract top talent. Conduct regular reviews and develop job descriptions to ensure they are appealing and aligned with market expectations. Maintain a deep understanding of business needs and departmental structures to align recruitment efforts with organizational goals. Assist with career fair planning and represent the organization at internal, external and virtual recruitment events. Oversee the recruitment of physicians, advanced practice providers (APPs) and other clinical professionals. Partner with medical leadership and service line leaders to assess staffing needs and develop targeted recruitment strategies. Build and maintain strong relationships with medical schools, residency programs and professional associations to support provider pipelines. Design and manage a structured internal mobility program that supports employee career development and organizational agility. Collaborate with HR Business Partners and department leaders to identify internal talent pipelines and succession planning opportunities. Ensure transparency, fairness and consistency in internal transfer processes. Track and report on internal movement metrics to inform strategic talent planning. Create and track recruitment metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, candidate experience and use data to continuously improve strategies and practices. Leverage applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment technologies to optimize efficiency and candidate experience. Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws, regulations and internal policies. Collaborate with HR and Onboarding teams to develop and implement a seamless, compliant recruitment-to-onboarding process. Lead, coach and develop a high-performing talent acquisition team. Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on workforce trends and talent strategies.

Experience:

5+ years of recruitment and management experience is required Experience in healthcare; Federally Qualified Health Centers is preferred Experience working with J-1, H-1 and other visa sponsored candidates Strong communication Ability to build relationships

Education:

Bachelor’s degree is required Master’s degree is preferred

SPHR, SHRM

certification or PHR is preferred
