Key Responsibilities:

Assist thedirector in the development of the Continuing Education & WorkforceDevelopment Department. Assist in the development and oversight ofcontinuing education and workforce development programs that alignwith local and regional labor market needs. Collaborate withfaculty and staff to implement innovative pathways for career andtechnical education that provide students with clear, stackablecredentials and employment opportunities. Foster relationships withindustry, government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and SUNYPartners to identify training needs and create customized programs.

Solicit, select, and onboard instructors for all training programs.

Build training schedules for in-person, online, and hybrid sessionsin collaboration with business and industry needs. Serve as thecollege’s representative on workforce development initiatives atthe local, regional, and state levels as needed. Track courseprogress and student success through program completion. Analyzerelevant data to inform enrollment forecasts, grant development,and revenue projections. Assist in the management and developmentof grants for the office. Advocate for the college as a hub forworkforce development and lifelong learning. Assist in economicdevelopment efforts by local, regional, and state agencies, asdirected by the Director of Continuing Education and WorkforceDevelopment. Promote continuing education programs throughstrategic outreach, marketing, and communication efforts.

Collaborate with Marketing & Communications Ensure programs areaccessible, equitable, and aligned with student and employer needs.

Provide holistic guidance and support to students seeking careeradvancement or re-skilling opportunities. Other duties as requiredto support department and institutional goals and as assigned byDirector, which may include new projects, evolvingresponsibilities, or special assignments, as necessary.

Qualifications & Experience:

A bachelor’s degree in business,higher education, workforce development, or a closely relatedfield. Or an associate’s degree and 2-3 years of relevantexperience within higher education and/or workforce development.

Demonstrated experience in business or workforce development,including planning, organization, and training. Proven ability towork effectively with industry, government, and nonprofitorganizations to design and deliver training programs. Preferredqualifications include expertise in best practices for AdultLearner programming and academic pathways, such as Credit for PriorLearning. Effective communication and presentation skills,including the ability to convey ideas clearly to diverse audiences.

Knowledge of labor market trends and workforce development bestpractices. Salary and Benefits Information Annual 12-month salary,$60-62K, will be commensurate with experience.
