Training Manager Role:

Oversight and management of the Training & Development team within the credit union’s training department. This position will be responsible for supervising a team of two direct reports, ensuring the effective delivery of onboarding, continuing education, and compliance training across the organization. In addition to collaborating with the OJT Manager or Department Supervisors for administration of OJT training in the branches and departments. The Training Manager will ensure that training content is up to date, regularly reviewed, and effectively documented. Additionally, the role will involve ensuring the timely and accurate administration of mandatory BSA, compliance, IT, and security training, in alignment with the credit union’s CTO, ISO, and Risk & Compliance requirements via the learning management system (LMS).

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the administration of the Training & Development department, ensuring effective coordination of training schedules, programs, and resources. Develop and implement comprehensive onboarding programs in collaboration with various departments for new hires to ensure all employees receive proper training at the start of their employment. Work with supervisors throughout the credit union to ensure all employees receive ongoing education and development opportunities, including technical, soft skills, and leadership training. Ensure that annual BSA, compliance, IT, and security training is administered on time and in accordance with the credit union’s CTO, ISO, and Risk & Compliance requirements. Maintain and update accurate training records for each employee, ensuring that training participation, certifications, and progress are properly documented. Oversee and manage the tracking of employee training completion and certifications, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Foster strong relationships with the branches and departments throughout the credit union and the training department. Responsible for ensuring that training content is of high quality, relevant, and up to date, with clear objectives and measurable outcomes. Oversee the development, review, and approval of training materials, ensuring they meet organizational goals and compliance standards. Maintain a library of digital training resources, ensuring that all content is regularly reviewed and updated in alignment with regulatory changes and organizational needs. Develop and manage change control procedures for training content to ensure proper documentation and version control. Supervise and develop two direct reports, providing guidance, coaching, and professional development to ensure high performance within the Training & Development team. Assign tasks and responsibilities, track team progress, and provide regular feedback to ensure training goals are achieved efficiently. Draft and distribute effective communication regarding training schedules, updates, and program changes to employees. Develop and distribute regular reports on training completion rates, program effectiveness, and compliance status to management and other stakeholders. Oversees the generative AI knowledge base and is lead for the ongoing maintenance, optimization, and content accuracy of the credit union’s generative AI knowledge base. This role ensures the assistant consistently provides accurate, timely, and contextually appropriate answers to users through the AI interface. Coordinates external training efforts by working with third-party vendors to schedule and organize learning sessions for staff. Ensures training content aligns with organizational goals and compliance standards. Monitors training quality, addresses logistical needs, and ensures that content is documented and recorded for future reference.
