The Learning and Development Manager•Production is responsible for the leadership, design, development, and delivery of learning and development programs, tools, and services for the manufacturing/production function. This position will partner closely with manufacturing/production leadership and stakeholders to implement programs and strategies designed to expand staff skills, foster professional conduct in the workplace, and improve workplace performance. This position will also lead and manage a learning and development team to ensure that quality training is delivered and evaluated according to the needs of the company.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Support/lead weekly stakeholder engagement meetings with business partners, Human Resources, and Executive Leadership to develop action plans for respective business units, support departments, and implement learning strategies Develop and implement learning programs across various areas of manufacturing/production meeting unique departmental learning needs Determine and work within functional training budgets, handle all procurement of vendor-related learning needs, and coordinate with consults on any 3rd party learning support/engagement Lead the design and delivery of e-learning courses, job-role specific career plans, leadership programs, learning workshops, standard operational procedures, work forms, and training documents Evaluate, update, and provide feedback on execution of learning strategies and programs Evaluate individual and function developmental needs across various production/manufacturing departments Implement various learning methods, including but not limited to coaching, job-shadowing, instructor-led and online training, etc. Develop and deliver feedback to various facilitators on e-learning courses, workshops, 3rd party trainings, instructor-led training, and other production-centric courses/curriculums as needed Implement L&D evaluation program to measure the effectiveness of our learning events Assess the success of learning plans across various areas and divisions to identify areas where learning can be improved for production and/or succession planning Track and manage budgets, approve work-related attendance considerations, and negotiate contracts for L&D related supplies/equipment Determine human capital needs and coordinate with HR on the hiring process Hire, train, and oversee L&D Specialists and Facilitators while providing hiring best practices and assisting with onboarding support as needed Provide evaluations to all L&D staff at specified company intervals (60-day, quarterly, and annual evaluations) Help L&D Specialists develop their team members Create/communicate schedules, status, issues, and/or obstacles to senior leadership Provide creative solutions to obstacles Other duties as assigned

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 5+ years proven experience as a L&D Manager or similar role (preferably in a production/manufacturing environment) Professional certifications (e.g.

ASTD, ATD, CPLP

) preferred Production/Manufacturing certifications (e.g. Six Sigma, LEAN, Project Management) preferred Must have experience with Instructional Design Modeling (ADDIE, SAM, AGILE, ARCS, ASSUREAPD, PMP, D2L, etc.) Experience with Learning Management Systems E-Learning

SCORM/AICC

(Java/HTML) Authoring Experience Previous Manufacturing/Agricultural Leadership Experience highly preferred Proficient in MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, Course Authoring Software (Camtasia, Storyline, Captivate), and Learning Management Systems Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to resolve problems and issues independently and in partnership with stakeholders

ADDITIONAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum BS/BA in Adult Education/Psychology/Higher Education or related field, MS/MA preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills, English required, Spanish preferred Excellent multi-tasking skills in a fast paced, changing, and challenging environment Excellent attention to detail Strong leadership skills, ability to coach/mentor employees one-on-one and in group setting Must understand applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations including but not limited to; personnel law, safety regulations (OSHA), local municipal codes and organizational rules, regulations, directives, and standard operating procedures Must be a minimum of 21 years of age Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stopping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks Must be able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), and able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater) Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as; reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise)

WORK SCHEDULE

40+ hours weekly with flexible hours depending on department needs.
