Position Summary:

The Investigative Training Coordinator (ITC) will be responsible for the full lifecycle of training programs for investigative personnel supporting federal contracts, including DHS. This role plays a critical part in ensuring investigators are equipped with the knowledge, compliance understanding, and procedural readiness to meet agency requirements. The ITC will create and manage all onboarding, continuing education, and compliance-related training efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive training programs for new and existing investigative staff Deliver and oversee “New Investigator” and DHS-specific training, including compliance with National Training Standards Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, making data-informed adjustments as needed Ensure timely completion of required annual trainings (e.g., Cybersecurity, Privacy) Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Operations, and Compliance teams to align training content with regulatory and performance standards Develop certification processes, including post-training assessments and field mentorship coordination Maintain accurate training records and support audit readiness

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 6 years of experience in personnel security investigations or background investigations Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university Strong understanding of federal background investigations policies, procedures, and standards (e.g., Tiers T2-T5) Demonstrated ability to develop engaging, scalable training content Familiarity with adult learning principles and digital training tools Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proven ability to lead training in both virtual and live settings

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience training investigators for DHS or similar federal agencies Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and compliance tracking tools Working knowledge of

SF-86, PVQ, DCSA

clearance protocols, and field certification standards

Security Clearance:

Must possess a current, favorably adjudicated T5 or High Tier (HT) background investigation, or be eligible for immediate sponsorship under DHS requirements. Flexible work from home options available.
