GENERAL FUNCTION

 The Training Manager at Advantor Systems is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive training programs that support the professional development and technical proficiency of our customers and employees, with a strong focus on field services, security system technologies, and customer support standards. This role ensures that all training aligns with company goals, compliance requirements, and industry’s best practices. The Training Manager collaborates with cross- functional teams to assess training needs, design course materials, deliver training sessions, and measure the effectiveness of learning initiatives to drive operational excellence and enhance customer satisfaction.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Minimum fifteen years of experience in training and/or learning development.
Bachelor of Science degree preferred; Experience can be substituted for education.
5+ years of experience designing, developing, and managing corporate training programs, with a focus on technical and/or field service training.
Proven experience applying adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and using e- learning authoring tools.
Experience working with or training on electronic security systems (intrusion detection, access control, CCTV, etc.) or other complex technical products.
Demonstrated success working with Engineering, Field Services, Customer Support, and Sales teams to identify training needs and create tailored learning solutions.
Experience delivering instructor-led training in both classroom and virtual settings; strong presentation and facilitation skills.
Familiarity with DoD standards, military protocols, or security-cleared environments is a strong plus.
Experience managing training staff, vendors, or contractors, and leading large-scale training initiatives across geographically dispersed teams.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

Design and continuously improve technical and operational training programs for field technicians, system installers, project managers, and support personnel.
Facilitate engaging in-person and virtual training sessions covering system installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Advantor’s security systems.
Develop manuals, job aids, videos, online modules, and assessments aligned with company standards and compliance requirements.
Manage onboarding training for new hires and develop certification paths to ensure technical staff meet performance and compliance benchmarks (e.g., DoD requirements). Track training outcomes through testing, performance observation, and feedback; implement improvements based on data and learner input.
Partner with Engineering, Product Management, and Field Services to ensure training content remains accurate and aligned with product updates.
Provide or coordinate training for customers, especially military and government clients, to ensure proper system operation and maintenance.
Administer the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring accurate tracking of training completions, certifications, and employee development paths.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment to include overtime
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to drive clarity from ambiguity and ensure understanding between internal and external customers
Must work well with others in a team environment
Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET Security Clearance
