JOB SUMMARY
The Training & Development Manager position will have the responsibility of developing, providing guidance, and overseeing the PSM’s training program for new and existing employees. This role will be responsible for conducting training needs assessments, designing and delivering learning materials as well as managing the overall learning experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following: Responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating training programs to ensure employees are equipped to adapt to organizational changes and meet business goals Responsible for conducting training needs assessments, designing and delivering learning materials as well as manage the overall learning experience Collaborate with Organizational Management and existing staff, in support of the organizational goals Partner with hiring managers to execute and provide ongoing training & development of the framework for new hire employees as well as existing employees Satisfactory completion of appropriate corporate training as related to the position and/or department Stay informed on updates to technology ensuring team members are aware and well-versed on enhancements Strictly adhere to all safety rules, policies and procedures required by the company, law, and what is recognized as common practice in the industry Supervise direct reports including work assignments, time sheet approval, performance evaluations, development plans and other issues relating to daily work and overall career development Determine learning needs, tracking participant progress to completion Schedule and conduct technical training for new hires and existing team members Contributes to overall achievement by accomplishing related tasks and demonstrating characteristics that exemplify team building and support Consult and partner with hiring Managers and owners on needs assessments and recommend training solutions Review and research current industry trends, conduct assessments and utilize industry best practices to make and incorporate recommendations into training and development practices Perform other duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education & Training Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Management, Learning & Development, Industrial – Organizational (I/O) Psychology or other related field Must complete EHS assigned regulatory training for work area as described by PSM’s EHS Training Matrix Skills/Experience Experience in technical training presentations, managing learning tools and digital engagement 7+ years of training experience in a corporate environment 2+ years of LDS administration, specifically Cornerstone 2+ years of experience with administering 360 assessments 2+ years of experience with psychometrics preferred. Including but not limited to; StrenghsFinder, MBTI, DiSC Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel PowerPoint, Microsoft Project etc.) Must be a self-starter, team player with enthusiasm, passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences Must possess technical expertise and functional knowledge on the use of on-line applications/programs, and on the access and retrieval of internal reporting High empathy skills and understanding of effective teaching methodologies and the willingness to keep abreast of new techniques in teaching Must have excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, demonstrate the ability to develop positive working relationships Excellent verbal and written communication and presenting skills Strong organizational and follow up skills Ability to determine learning needs Ability to track participant progress to completion Equal Opportunity Employer Veterans/Disabled
