Learning & Development Supervisor 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars Sanford, FL Job Summary The Learning and Development Supervisor plays a pivotal role in leading and overseeing the design, development, and delivery of comprehensive learning initiatives within the organization. This position involves guiding a team of learning professionals, collaborating with management, and ensuring the alignment of learning programs with organizational goals. The Learning and Development Supervisor is responsible for promoting an engaging a learning environment that fosters skill development, knowledge acquisition, and professional growth among employees. In this role, you will be conducting detailed data analysis to assess performance outcomes and evaluate the overall impact of Learning & Development initiatives. Job Responsibilities Oversee training needs assessments, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of work procedures, workflow, and job-specific functions. (Co-)design and oversee the implementation of measurable, educational curricula for live interactive training (ILT), live web-based training delivery (OLT), and self-paced online learning in alignment with strategic business outcomes. Demonstrate a strong understanding of instructional design learning models and principles. Lead collaboration with cross-functional teams and Subject Matter Experts (SME) to define project/course scope, requirements, and timelines. Review course output, incorporating feedback to produce alpha, beta, and final versions of each course. Organize training material for simple identification, management, and versioning, maintaining documents in the correct format and branding. Utilize learning principles to demonstrate the impact of learning solutions on targeted business KPIs, including relevant performance and learning objectives. Guide the selection of appropriate qualitative and quantitative techniques for gathering accurate data based on sound evaluation theory, organizational frameworks, and/or KPIs. Analyze data to determine whether learning interventions deliver desired performance outcomes and suggest design improvements where necessary. Generate regular reports on the impact and success of learning initiatives for upper management. Analyze data and feedback to continually improve and enhance learning initiatives. Utilization and administration of Learning Management Systems (LMS), ensuring optimal functionality and user experience. Monitor team performance, conduct team meetings, and review project and task distribution. Lead and mentor a team of learning and development specialists. Set clear expectations, provide guidance, and foster a collaborative team culture. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in training, education, human resources, or a related field. Experience using instructional design methodologies, e-learning tools, and learning management systems. Proven experience in a leadership role within Learning and Development is preferred. Skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and project management skills. Strong leadership and team management skills. Strategic thinking with he ability to align with organizational objectives. Ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner. Knowledge in graphic design and proficiency with tools such as Articulate 360, Camtasia, or Adobe Suite, and Microsoft Office Products are essential. Commitment to staying informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in learning and development. Awareness and sensitivity to cultural diversity considerations in learning programs. Skill in designing and implementing assessments to measure learner progress and program effectiveness.
