Montessori School Director in training 2.3 2.3 out of 5 stars Johns Creek, GA 30022 We are seeking a passionate, motivated, and growth-oriented individual to join our leadership team as a Director-in-Training . This is a unique opportunity for an educator or school administrator who aspires to eventually lead a Montessori school. The Director-in-Training will work closely with the current School Director and leadership team over the next 12 months to gain the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to transition into the School Director role. This role requires a commitment to Montessori principles, strong leadership potential, and a willingness to learn through hands-on experience and mentorship. ⸻
Key Responsibilities During Training Year:
Work alongside the School Director to understand and assist with daily operations, licensing, staffing, enrollment, curriculum oversight, and parent relations. Learn about Montessori philosophy, pedagogy, and classroom management through observation, training, and mentorship. Support teachers and staff with classroom needs, scheduling, professional development, and curriculum execution. Assist with parent communication, school tours, events, and admissions efforts. Participate in financial management training (budgeting, forecasting, fee collection oversight). Engage in leadership coaching, performance reviews, and leadership team meetings. Develop a strong understanding of compliance regulations, health and safety standards, and Montessori quality standards. Build relationships with staff, students, and families to foster community trust and engagement. ⸻ After Successful Training Completion (12 Months): Assume the full role of School Director, responsible for all leadership, operational, and educational oversight duties. ⸻
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or related field preferred. Montessori certification (AMI, AMS, or MACTE accredited) preferred or willingness to complete Montessori leadership training. 2+ years of experience in an educational, childcare, or Montessori school setting. Strong leadership qualities with excellent organizational and communication skills. Passion for Montessori education and commitment to upholding its core values. Ability to lead a team with empathy, vision, and professionalism. ⸻
